…Udeh Okoye Remains the PDP National Secretary inline with the January 13th Appeal Court Ruling.
By Barr Kenneth Okoronkwo.
The is to inform Party members and the general public that, according to the CTC of the Court of Appeal Ruling of Monday 13th January, 2025, Senator Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu has been deceiving Nigerians and party members by claiming that the Court granted him the Stay he earlier filed on January 2nd, 2025, with respect to the December 20th Appeal Court ruling that sacked him as National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
It is imperative to note that, from the CTC of the ruling of January 13th, the court asked the Parties in the case to maintain “status quo ante bellum”. No stay of execution was granted to Anyanwu, and as such, the Appeal Court’s ruling of December 20th 2024 remains binding.
Therefore, Udeh Okoye remains the substantive National Secretary of the PDP, and all party members, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and other stakeholders are advised to recognize and respect his authority.
Anyanwu’s actions are not only a clear disregard for the rule of law but also a deliberate attempt to cause confusion and undermine the party’s leadership.
Our Party will not tolerate such behavior and will take necessary steps to ensure that its constitution and rules are respected.
