Police in Abuja have arrested Able Seaman Abdulrashid Mohammed, a naval guard at the home of former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ishaya Iko Ibrahim, for allegedly robbing and killing Ibrahim’s son, Aminu, on August 18, 2024.
Mohammed reportedly shot Aminu after robbing him of his SUV in Maitama.
The officer was caught at Apo Mechanic Village trying to sell the vehicle. Mohammed confessed to the murder, stating he killed Aminu because he recognized him.
Additionally, FCT Police Commissioner Benneth Igweh paraded 94 Shi’ite suspects arrested over a recent riot in Abuja.
