The Federal Capital Territory Police Command has launched an investigation into the mysterious death of a crossdresser found on the Katampe-Mabushi expressway in Abuja.
The individual, whose identity remains unknown, was discovered dressed in women’s clothing with no means of identification.
According to police spokesperson Josephine Adeh, detectives were promptly dispatched to the scene after receiving a distress call.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was a man dressed in female attire, with no identification on him.
He was rushed to Maitama District Hospital, where doctors confirmed his death.
Commissioner of Police Bennett Igweh has ordered a discreet investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding the death.
The police have promised to provide updates on the matter in due course.
