Police probe E-Money over 1.2bn dispute with Lagos firm

The Chief Executive Officer, Emy Cargo and Shipping Services Limited, Emeka Okonkwo, aka E-Money is under investigation at the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Alagbon, over alleged N1, 209,200,000 dispute with a vehicle dealing company, Autocorp Limited, in Lagos State.

Emeka Okonkwo, also known as E-Money, is being investigated by the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex in Alagbon over a dispute with Autocorp Limited, a vehicle dealership company, regarding an alleged N1.2 billion.

The company hired Okonkwo to clear eight cars in 2020 and 2021.

 

The lawyer for the vehicle dealership company, Raymond Olaiya, characterized the financial dispute between the company and Okonkwo as “stealing, fraudulent conversion and criminal sale” in a petition to the FCID ².
