Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, aka Portable, has ignited a firestorm of debate after proclaiming himself a spiritual leader, asserting that his words carry divine authority. This bold statement follows a viral video showing Portable physically confronting a preacher at his bar, which has drawn widespread condemnation.
In a subsequent video, Portable, donning a white celestial attire, addressed the incident, stating, “I’m a pastor. When I speak, God speaks. I have never disrespected any pastor. If he were one, God would have told me.”
The assaulted preacher denounced Portable’s actions as “sacrilegious and unbecoming,” warning of impending consequences for his behavior. The online backlash has been swift, with many castigating Portable for his disrespect towards a religious leader. Undeterred, Portable maintains that he holds spiritual leaders in high esteem, claiming that his actions are guided by a higher power.
