Nearly 11,000 North Korean soldiers will be ready to fight in Ukraine by November 1, according to Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukrainian intelligence.

Budanov revealed that more than 2,500 troops have already been deployed to the Russian regions of Kursk and Bryansk, where Ukrainian forces made significant gains last August. Ukrainian troops still control several localities in these areas.

“We don’t have the full picture right now”, Budanov said.

Earlier this week, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that North Korea plans to send not only military personnel but also specialists in various fields to assist Russia.

According to South Korea, 1,500 North Korean soldiers have already been sent to Russia via the port of Vladivostok, where they were assigned to different regiments currently fighting on the Ukrainian front.

Intelligence reports further indicate that these North Korean soldiers were given false identities, along with Russian uniforms and weapons.
