The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ibrahim Adamu Lamuwa has been accused of s+xually hara§§ing a married female staff member of the ministry.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, formally lodged a complaint with the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation regarding the allegations against Lamuwa in a letter dated May 27, 2024 and made public on Tuesday, June 11.
In a letter addressed to Folasade Yemi-Esan, head of service of the federation, Tuggar said he felt it necessary to write her following the “gravity of the matter”.
Simisola Fajemirokun Ajayi, a married female employee of the ministry, through Femi Falana, a senior advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and her lawyer, had informed Tuggar of Lamuwa’s alleged s+xual advances.
