The House of Representatives Committee on Public Petitions is fed up with NIMASA’s lack of action on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in coastal communities .
They’ve summoned Director-General Dayo Mobereola to appear before them on July 17, 2024, or face the consequences
The Committee is investigating a petition that exposes NIMASA’s failed promises to establish educational and skills acquisition projects in coastal communities .
Instead, they built a fancy Maritime Skill Acquisition Centre in Kaduna State , far from the communities that need it most!
The Committee demands answers: why did NIMASA neglect its CSR duties? Why did they prioritize a project in Kaduna over the needs of coastal communities?
Mobereola must appear before the Committee to explain himself. Failure to do so will result in arrest and a front-row seat before the panel.
Will NIMASA finally take responsibility and act, or will they continue to neglect their duties? Stay tuned!
