The visit was to congratulate him on his appointment and to discuss avenues for collaboration.

Hon. Udeh expressed his gratitude to His Excellency, Dist. Sen Hope Uzodinma, the pragmatic governor of Imo State, for appointing a person of integrity and commitment as the Sole Administrator. He praised Governor Uzodinma’s foresight in positioning a reputable and renowned individual to lead the Municipality, noting that Hon. Emeribe’s integrity and dedication to societal growth are well-established. Udeh believes that a new era of progress has begun for Owerri Municipal Council under Emeribe’s leadership.

In response, Owerri Municipal Sole Administrator, Hon. Emeribe, thanked the leadership of the union for their visit and their commendable efforts in facilitating efficient transportation. He highlighted the importance of safety and urged the union members to be ambassadors of Governor Uzodinma’s administration. Emeribe charged them with the responsibility of ensuring that safety signposts, indications, and road bumps are appropriately placed at strategic points in the commercial city to preserve lives and properties.

Hon. Emeribe assured the NURTW of the 3R administration’s readiness to partner with them for progressive growth and innovation. He urged the union to promote peace and unity both within and outside their organization and to support the All Progressives Congress’s initiatives at the municipal, state, and national levels under the leadership of the Governor and Chairmanship of Hon. Macdonald Ebere, PhD.

Furthermore, Emeribe called on the NURTW state chairman to address the issue of road obstructions and nuisances caused by certain members of the union. He emphasized the need to calm to order those responsible for such disruptions, so as to ensure a free and conducive flow of vehicular and human movement within the municipality.
