Students rush to JAMB offices over ‘illegal admissions’ ahead of Aug. 31 deadline
As the August 31, 2024, deadline approaches for Nigerian tertiary institutions to disclose candidates admitted outside the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS), students are flocking to JAMB offices nationwide in an attempt to resolve their status.
Ekwutosblog had reported that JAMB has announced that it will no longer condone or regularize illegal admissions beyond the 2020 set, and all admissions for the 2024 cycle and going forward will be conducted exclusively through the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) .
Candidates whose names do not appear on the national matriculation list will be deemed not to have been admitted by JAMB.
