The Comptroller-General of Customs has indeed ordered the auction of seized petrol, and it’s going to be sold at N630 per litre. This move is part of the ongoing efforts to curb smuggling and protect Nigeria’s economic interests.

Ekwutosblog had also gathered that It’s worth noting that this isn’t the first time the Customs Service has auctioned off seized petrol.

In July, the Sokoto/Zamfara Command auctioned 25,162 litres of seized petrol to the public at a token of N180 per litre.

The significant difference in price between the two auctions could be due to various factors, such as location, market conditions, or the specific circumstances surrounding the seizure.

Auction Details:
•⁠ ⁠Location: Two petrol stations in Yola
•⁠ ⁠Price: N630 per litre
•⁠ ⁠Seizure Locations: North-West borders (Sokoto-Kebbi axis), South-West borders (Seme-Badagry and Idiroko axis)
