Coach Augustine Eguavoen will continue to lead the Super Eagles as their Head Coach, thanks to the Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) Executive Committee approving the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee.
This means Eguavoen will be at the helm for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Libya next month.
Eguavoen has a rich history with the Super Eagles, having led them three times previously.
He was also part of the Nigerian team that won the African Nations Cup in 1994.
His current technical team, including Fidelis Ilechukwu, Daniel Ogunmodede, Olatunji Baruwa, and Tomaz Zorec, will continue to support him.
Under Eguavoen’s guidance, the Super Eagles have already secured a 3-0 victory over Benin Republic and a goalless draw with Rwanda in their first two qualifying matches earlier this month.
Key Upcoming Matches:
• 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches: Against Libya next month
• African Nations Championship (CHAN): Eguavoen will also lead the Super Eagles B team in the qualifying campaign scheduled for next year
