The Rivers State High Court has issued an interim injunction that bars the Chief Judge and the Clerk of the state House of Assembly from recognizing the Martins Amaewhule-led state House of Assembly.

The court order also prohibits them from dealing with Amaewhule and 26 others as members of the Assembly.

This comes amidst a political crisis in Rivers State, which has resulted in the House of Assembly being divided between two factions.
