The Rivers State High Court has issued a temporary order prohibiting the Chief Judge of Rivers state and the Clerk from receiving the impeachment notice served by speaker Amaewhule led assembly.
The Rivers State High Court has issued an interim injunction that bars the Chief Judge and the Clerk of the state House of Assembly from recognizing the Martins Amaewhule-led state House of Assembly.
The court order also prohibits them from dealing with Amaewhule and 26 others as members of the Assembly.
This comes amidst a political crisis in Rivers State, which has resulted in the House of Assembly being divided between two factions.
