Tinubu Bids Farewell To Yemi-Esan, Welcomes Walson-Jack As New Head Of Civil Service

President Bola Tinubu officially appointed Esther Walson-Jack as the new Head of the Civil Service of the Federation during a swearing-in ceremony held on Monday in Abuja, preceding the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.

The ceremony also featured a valedictory session for the outgoing Head of Service, Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan.

President Tinubu commended Yemi-Esan for her exceptional service, noting her dedication to duty, loyalty, and visionary leadership.

He highlighted her significant contributions to the transformation and reform of the Civil Service, describing her tenure as marked by efficiency, transparency, and professionalism.

“Dr. Folashade Yemi-Esan has set a high standard for public administration in Nigeria, and we are deeply grateful for her unwavering commitment and the positive impact she has made on our nation,” Tinubu remarked.

Following her swearing-in, Walson-Jack expressed her commitment to building on the reforms initiated by her predecessor, promising to introduce innovations and creativity to the Civil Service.

The Federal Executive Council then proceeded with a closed-door session, with Walson-Jack participating in her new role as Head of the Civil Service.
