President Bola Tinubu is currently presiding over a Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the State House Council Chamber.
During the meeting, he swore in Dr. Abdullahi Usman Bello as the new Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau.
Recall that the 10th Senate, under the leadership of Godswill Akpabio, had in July, confirmed the appointment of Abdullahi Bello as Chairman of the Code of Conduct Bureau under section 154 of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended).
Bello’s appointment was confirmed following the submission of a report from the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Code of Conduct and Public Petitions, Sen. Imasuen, Neda Bernards (Edo South).

Meanwhile, the ongoing meeting has sparked speculations about an impending cabinet reshuffle.
Reports say that this FEC meeting could serve as a valedictory session for some underperforming ministers who would be dismissed soon.
