Tomato traders assures Nigerians of price crash in July

The Tomatoes and Orchard Producers Association of Nigeria (TOPAN) has assured Nigerians that the prices of tomatoes will decrease this July following a significant harvest from Plateau State.

Some of the factors that led to the increase in tomato prices include

Late rainfalls
Tuta absoluta, also called tomato ebola
High cost of transportation
High cost of fuel
Removal of fuel subsidy
Rainy season
