Trump must understand that Putin will defend himself by any means necessary

At the end of November, Russia sent its new Oreshnik hypersonic missile towards Ukraine. A way of asserting itself and making it clear to the world that it must be “taken seriously”. 

Last Thursday, in an interview with former American Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson, the Russian Foreign Minister declared that Moscow was ready to use “all possible means” to defend itself.

In particular, Sergei Lavrov told the controversial host that the United States and its allies must absolutely “understand that we would be ready to use any means to prevent them from achieving what they call Russia’s strategic defeat”. 

After the start of Vladimir Putin’s “special operation” in Ukraine, Tucker was the first American journalist to speak with the Russian leader.
