Ukrainian President Volodymr Zelenskyy is traveling to Washington D.C. to present President Joe Biden with a strategy —a ‘victory plan’ — to win the war against Russia.
Zelenskyy has provided regular updates on the plan’s preparation but few clues to contents.
The Ukrainian leader singled out the importance of US backing for the plan last week, saying: “The entire plan is predicated upon quick decisions from our partners.”

Zelenskyy travels to Washington to meet Joe Biden
Zelensky wants the US to increase its military support for Ukraine and allow the use of long-range missiles in Russian territory.
The Ukrainian president will also meet with senators in a bipartisan session organized by Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, according to sources from the US Congress.
There are fears in Kyiv that a Trump reelection could lead to a reduction or conditioning of US military assistance.
Donald Trump has criticized Zelenskyy for refusing to negotiate with Moscow and questioned the ongoing provision of billions of dollars to Ukraine during a campaign rally.
