UNILORIN students’ agric projects win BAT foundation N6m grant

Four graduates from the University of Ilorin have been awarded the 2024 British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation Agripreneur Programme grant, receiving N1,500,000 each for their innovative agricultural projects .

The winners are:

Mustapha Ibrahim: Best in the Tomato Awakening Project

Olajire Adekunle Sherif: Best in catfish production

Oluwadare Ogunmoye: Best in maize production

Anuoluwapo Akinboye: Best in tomato paste scaling production

These projects were chosen based on their innovation, commitment to sustainable agricultural practices, and potential for scalability.

The winners will also receive mentorship and support from industry experts to ensure the successful implementation and growth of their projects.
