The United States and the United Kingdom have decided to postpone their decision on long-range missiles for Ukraine.

Can Ukraine really attack Russian territory with Western long-range weapons? The United States and the United Kingdom have not yet decided.

After a meeting with Joe Biden at the White House, British Prime Minister, Keir Starmer, said that all these decisions would be discussed later this month at the United Nations (UN) General Assembly in New York.

Because the United States fears escalation, Kiev has so far only been allowed to deploy American missiles with a maximum range of 77 kilometers. If Ukraine were allowed to deploy ATACMS with a range of 300 kilometers, it could hit about 245 strategic military targets deep inside Russia. Russian President, Putin, reiterated that if this were the case, Russia would be at war with the entire NATO. “If this decision is made, it will mean nothing less than direct participation of NATO countries in the war in Ukraine. This would change the nature of the conflict and mean that NATO countries – the United States, European countries – are at war with Russia,” the Kremlin chief told a Russian journalist.
