The US women’s basketball team showcased their prowess with a convincing 88-74 win over Nigeria’s D’Tigress in the quarterfinals at the 2024 Paris Olympics on Wednesday night.

A’Ja Wilson led the charge with 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Jackie Young and Breanna Stewart added 15 and 13 points, respectively.

The US team will face Australia in the semi-finals on Friday after the Opals defeated Serbia 85-67.

France, led by Marine Johannes’ 24 points, beat Germany 84-71 and will face Belgium in the other semi-final matchup.

Nigeria’s D’Tigress put up a valiant effort, with Promise Amukamara scoring 19 points and Ezinne Kalu adding 16.

However, the US team’s firepower proved too much to handle, as they extended their winning streak to 59 Olympic games.

The sold-out crowd at Bercy Arena included NBA superstar LeBron James and USA teammate Bam Adebayo, who were courtside to support their fellow Americans.

The US team will look to continue their dominance in the semi-finals against Australia.
