On August 28, 2024, VDM made this plea through an Instagram post, which has drawn considerable attention from the public.

“David Adeleke, Davido, you are like a brother to me, and one thing I am certain about is that you are a kind-hearted individual and not someone who oppresses others. I understand that you have been provoked, but you are not an oppressor,” he started.

In his post, VDM recounted an experience at a police station where he claimed to have seen Dammy Krane in custody. According to VDM, he was visiting the station to express gratitude to police officers who had helped him in his work. During the visit, he encountered a person who mentioned seeing a celebrity with dreadlocks in a cell.

He continued, “When I arrived, I asked the police to let me see one of the individuals in the cell. To my surprise, it was Dammy Krane. Initially, I wasn’t eager to see him because he frequently insults me.”

VDM described a conversation with Krane, who allegedly stated that Davido was responsible for his arrest.

“I inquired about the reason for his detention, and he told me it was Davido who had him arrested. I responded, ‘Why wouldn’t he? You have been constantly attacking him and his family without any evidence. You began by claiming he owed you money and even changed his nickname from OBO to OB owe, all without proof,'” he explained.

He then implored Davido to release Dammy Krane, despite their tumultuous relationship over the years.

“I want to send him money for food, but now I am begging you, David. You are my brother, and you are not an oppressor. I know you have influence, but please do not use it to keep him detained. This is not who you are; this does not align with your character. Please, give this guy another chance,” VDM concluded.

Thousands of protesters gathered across the U.S. Saturday to object to Trump administration policies, including Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) federal downsizing, reciprocal tariffs and immigration reform.

More than 1,200 “Hands Off!” rallies took place in all 50 states, most prominently at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., and state capitol buildings.

While most protests appear to be peaceful, there was a large police presence on standby as of 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday.

Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., spoke at the rally in D.C., saying, “We are winning every day,” citing recent legal actions against the administration.

“We are winning in court, where 39 judges appointed by five Republican and Democratic presidents have issued 56 preliminary injunctions and TROs [temporary restraining orders] against this lawlessness,” Raskin said. “Let’s tell MAGA what democratic movements all over the world tell the dictators of the world. Hands off the courts.”

He called the president an “economy-crashing dictator” who “knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.”

When asked about the protests, the White House said in a statement to The Associated Press, “President Trump’s position is clear: He will always protect Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid for eligible beneficiaries. Meanwhile, the Democrats’ stance is giving Social Security, Medicaid and Medicare benefits to illegal aliens, which will bankrupt these programs and crush American seniors.”

The National Park Service told Fox News in a statement it commends its employees, including its police officers, who “helped to ensure these events were peaceful and safe for community members and visitors alike.”

“In support of President Trump’s Executive Order, Making the District of Columbia Safe and Beautiful, our dedicated Park Police officers promoted a welcoming environment, secured the historic monuments in our nation’s capital, and protected the First Amendment rights of all in attendance,” a National Park Service spokesperson wrote in the statement.

Large turnouts have been reported in New York City’s midtown Manhattan; Cleveland, Ohio; Philadelphia; and Lansing, Michigan.

Protesters held signs opposing the Israel-Hamas war, federal employee layoffs, deportation policies and the slashing of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programs.

Anti-Elon Musk posters were also prominent, with DOGE coming under fire for its recent actions.

A grieving husband shares the heartbreaking story of losing his wife during labor. His words paint a vivid picture of the financial struggles that many families face.

“If the economy were better, raising N500,000 wouldn’t have been so difficult. Despite working day and night, I couldn’t even boast of having N200,000 in my account. They said they had to remove the baby from her body, which would cost N150k. Then we had to buy burial clothes for another N20,000. Before we knew it, we had spent nearly N500,000 at the mortuary. Ironically, this was the same N500k that the hospital couldn’t wait for me to raise. In the end, we managed to raise it.”

Who is to be blamed? The grieving husband for not providing the money needed or the hospital? For demanding such amount before treatment?
