Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian footballer, was accused of punching a Turkish journalist, Tolga Bozduman, in the head.

The incident allegedly occurred when Osimhen was leaving an entertainment venue with friends and was approached by a group of reporters, including Bozduman, who attempted to photograph him.

According to Bozduman’s account, Osimhen became aggressive, screaming and trying to take his camera away. Bozduman claimed that Osimhen punched him in the head, which still hurt afterwards. Furthermore, Osimhen allegedly offered Bozduman money to delete the footage and threatened to “destroy” him when Bozduman refused.

In his account of the incident, Osimhen stated that he had gone to the venue to eat with his friends. He explained that when he returned to leave and head to his van, he was suddenly confronted by the journalists, including Bozduman, who popped out a camera in his face, catching him off guard.

“I was shocked,” Osimhen said. “I didn’t know what was happening. I was just trying to protect myself.”

Osimhen denied hitting anyone, saying: “I didn’t hit anyone. I’m disappointed that the journalist has chosen to distort the truth and make false accusations.”

The incident has sparked widespread attention and controversy, with many fans and supporters coming to Osimhen’s defense.
