The newly sworn-in Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State, Ambassador Chijioke Ihunwo, has revealed that the name of the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has been removed from the council’s admin building and replaced with Senator Dr Obi Wali.
Chijioke Ihunwo revealed this via a post he shared on his X handle on Sunday morning, October 13, 2024. He also attached a video clip showing the moment Wike’s name was removed.
According to a report by Sahara Reporters on Sunday, Chijioke Ihunwo said: “We have changed Wike’s name in admin block of Obio/Akpor Council, and replaced with the name of Senator Dr. Obi Wali.”
The removal of Wike’s name by Chijioke Ihunwo’s government is connected with the ongoing political crisis between the Federal Capital Territory minister and Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
Recall that the chairman had called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu last week to call Nyesom Wike to order. He also accused him of disrupting governance in Rivers State.
