Let me put in a word of caution, this is not an opportunity for registered voters to re-register. Persons who are registered as voters should not attempt to register again as this will amount to double or multiple registration as defined in Section 12 (2) of the Electoral Act 2022 and it attracts a fine of N100,000 or One-year imprisonment or both.
As regards our level of preparedness for the CVR,
1. All the 210 Centres that will be opened for the exercise have been identified, listed, and published on the INEC website.
Training and Recruitment of the personnel to be used for the CVR will commence soon.
3. The INEC Enrolment Devices (IVEDs) needed are available in sufficient quantity, well labelled, fully charged, and ready for deployment.
Please note that after the registration the Provisional Register will be displayed for claims and objections from 8th of June to14th of June, while handling of complaints that emanated from the claims and objections will be held on the 15th of June 2024 in all the Registration Areas.
